CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION

Concepts evaluate the nature of information mapping, appropriate navigational systems and an ideation methodology appropriate to developing effective interactive web communication.

CLASS OVERVIEW

This course focuses on constructing complete projects that are more than technical studies. Technology should become the background to a complete, well-executed thought Ð and not the reason for doing things. Students are expected to express their concepts building upon their foundation interactive skills and combining them with offline design abilities.

The course will also explore the production process for digital projects, and teach students the reasoning for this process, and assist in problem-solving interactive practicalities when it comes to finding the proper interactive expression to those projects.

Several technical demos will be given and students will advance their understanding of ActionScript as well as CSS and HTML. Students are expected to go beyond the demos and begin the lifelong process of self-learning Ð and will be guided down that path.

It goes without saying that all projects should be handed in complete, bug-free, and have all interim milestones met successfully.
